America and Soccer

A big question that I have always sought to find the answer to: Why is soccer so big around the world and not so much in America? My opinion (which to me is the most plausible opinion), is that Americans don’t understand the rules and strategies that come with soccer. In America, one of the first sports a young toddler can play is soccer. But is that really soccer? No. Soccer is a very complicated game, and the footwork skill and endurance that comes with the game is something that no Joe Schmoe can take on. So, my task for you is to watch a real game of soccer and then go out and try it yourself. You will see that not only will you be embarrassing yourself, but you will learn that soccer is a very sophisticated sport. The rest of the world has already realized; now it is America's turn.
